Welcome

Click here for a welcome letter from the Wyoming ENA president!

Welcome  to the Wyoming ENA website. The Wyoming State Council was formed to represent Emergency Nursing in Wyoming as well as develop collaboration, networking and resources among emergency  nurses in our state.  Wyoming ENA also represents patients through the work of our committees in legislation, patient rights, injury prevention, health education and research.  Because of Wyoming’s vast geography and sparse population, emergency nurses face unique challenges.  We invite you to join the National ENA which makes you a member of Wyoming ENA.  One of the great benefits we offer is that any of our meetings are open to all.  You do not need to become a member to attend.  Networking is one of the best methods of sharing information.  The Wyoming ENA offers any nurse opportunities for professional and personal growth, diversified challenges and interaction with healthcare professionals throughout our profession.  The Wyoming ENA Council invites you to peruse our website and contact us with any questions, suggestions or input you might have to improve communications or process within our organization.  Thank you for connecting with us and we hope to further our relationship in the near future.

Safe Kids of Central Wyoming

Unintentional injuries are the leading cause of death in our young people. We also know that low-income individuals are at greater risk of injury than the rest of the population. To decrease thosenumbers, the Foundation offers SAFE KIDS of Central Wyoming, which provides leadership for a diverse coalition of community leaders who distribute valuable safety information and safety equipment throughout the entire community. They host an annual SAFE KIDS Day which draws over 1000 families to participate in safety education activities. Each year, they distribute hundreds of helmets and many car seats at little or no cost. They work with our local fire department to install smoke detectors in low-income households. This year, they have expanded their mission to include motor vehicle safety. They designed a number of programs and provided safe driving manuals to all students in drivers education classes. Regular car seat checks arenow offered at no cost each month to promote proper installation and use of car seats — the number-one way of saving young lives.
